We write letters — all 50 states

A letter can
change someone’s day.

Our goal is to share uplifting letters nationwide, subject to facility mail rules, screening, and approval.

Sometimes, a few encouraging words can remind someone that they have not been forgotten.

Our letter-writing initiative seeks to share messages of hope, encouragement, dignity, and positive direction with individuals affected by incarceration.

We want every letter to remind its recipient that their life has value and that a better future is worth preparing for.

A note about facility mail: All correspondence is subject to facility rules, applicable policies, and volunteer screening requirements. Delivery is not promised unless the facility’s mail policies and approval requirements have been confirmed.
